Hoy en el Diario Austral de Valdivia aparecio una informacion sobre la opinion de la Coordinadora Defensa Rio San Pedro, con respecto a las Observaciones que presento DGA (Direccion General de Aguas) al Proyecto Central Hidroelectrica San Pedro.
Consideramos importante que los medios de comunicacion Provinciales, den a conocer cual es la opinion de la Coordinadora con respecto a estos temas, eso demuestra que estamos haciendo las cosas bien.

Esperan rechazo de la Corema
La próxima semana la Corema podría conocer la posición de los organismos técnicos sobre el proyecto de la central hidroeléctrica en el río San Pedro. Uno de ellos, la DGA, ya se pronunció negativamente. (Foto Colbún)
Ante el informe con 108 observaciones que entregó la Dirección General de Aguas, DGA, al proyecto de construcción de la central hidroeléctrica San Pedro, la coordinadora ciudadana de Los Lagos espera que este antecedente técnico sea considerado por la Comisión Regional del Medio Ambiente, Corema, para que rechace el estudio de impacto ambiental de la iniciativa.
Sin embargo, la Coordinadora de Defensa del Río San Pedro tiene sus aprehensiones, pues considera que la Corema no es confiable. Así lo afirmó el vocero del organismo ciudadano, Juan Moreira, quien aseguró que "a nosotros no nos da ninguna seguridad, porque es un instrumento político y no responde a razones técnicas. Es un organismo que no nos da confianza", afirmó.
También explicó que hay razones fundadas para desconfiar, pues hay proyectos que a pesar de no ser recomendados técnicamente, igual fueron aprobados y generaron un impacto negativo.
Igual manifestó que el plazo para realizar las observaciones de la comunidad, dentro del proceso de participación ciudadana, vence el 29 de junio. "Y ya se han hecho llegar algunas observaciones de agrupaciones, de colegios rurales y también lo haremos nosotros", afirmó.
Al respecto, el presidente de la Corema, el intendente Jaime Bertín, aseguró ayer que la comunidad puede estar tranquila porque se considerarán las distintas opiniones. "Cuando la comunidad tiene fundamentos para adoptar una resolución, tiene que tomarse en cuenta", afirmó. También sostuvo que para analizar el aspecto técnico "hay un equipo que evalúa los antecedentes y entrega su opinión al respecto". Y afirmó que durante su gestión se han considerado los diversos puntos al momento de las decisiones.
Informes técnicos
Cuando un proyecto ingresa al Sistema de Evaluación de Impacto Ambiental, sea vía declaración o estudio, los antecedentes son analizados por diversos organismos técnicos, como la Dirección General de Aguas, Sernageomín, Directemar, seremi de Salud, seremi de Agricultura, Comisión Nacional de Energía, Sernatur, Consejo de Monumentos Nacionales, entre otros.
Hasta el momento, en este proyecto, el informe de la DGA es el único que se ha informado públicamente, a través del diputado Alfonso De Urresti. Y es claro en indicar que debido a la actual normativa ambiental, se requiere la presentación de otro estudio para esta iniciativa que contempla la creación de un embalse de 28 millones de metros cúbicos en el río San Pedro, comuna de Los Lagos. Ahora resta conocer la postura de los otros servicios, lo cual será informado primero a la Corema.
